Period Bow Shoot
There will a Period Bow shoot, with prizes, at 12 Noon on Saturday on the Archery Range. There will be wreath and wand shooting, as well as a Turkish Puta, and a Mongol/Manchu Tunken( requires 2 arrows with Bunny Buster blunts) and a set of Period RR targets. Updated SCA Period rules require all arrows must be self nocked or horn re-inforced(NO plastic nocks). Hand bows will be either longbows or horsebows. NO shelves of any kind(built-in or built-out) the arrows must be shot directly off the hand. NO pistol grips. Crossbows must be of Medieval design(no Wham-o modern stuff) Garb is not required to match archery tackle for time/culture in order to shoot, but those archers who do so will receive 10 additional points at the start.

The Friday night shoot is a fund raiser for this year’s charity. Please donate at least one dollar if you are able. The shoot will be led by Lady Sarah Sinclair of Mallard Lodge. Be amazed by very cool glow in the dark targets! Arrive by 7:30 PM, shoot starts at 8:00 PM.

Royal Rounds will be available throughout the day as long as there is a Marshal available for scoring.

The range closes promptly at 4:00 PM each day. If you want to use the range for a class, you need to contact Mistress Lorelei Greenleafe ahead of time and we will schedule the class. Otherwise, no unauthorized use of the range is allowed before the range opens or after it closes. NO EXCEPTIONS!

A kids range area will be available as long as we have a marshal to run that area. Parents must be present and with their children at all times. A kids prize shoot will happen at 11AM Friday morning.

**Marshals are asked to work a two-hour shift running the line and helping with inspections. If there are not enough marshals to run the range safely, we will close the range until there are. There will be a sign-up sheet for marshals and marshals in training at the range. Please select your time slot and show up 10 minutes before your shift starts.
