War of the Wings III

Heavy Youth Fighters of Atlantia your strong sword arms are again needed. Not only are you desperately needed by the Barons of Sacred Stone and Black Diamond to swell the ranks of their forces so that one might defeat the other, but know that the adult heavy forces are pretty evenly matched, and the likelihood of a draw if near certain…it could easily come down to the Youth combat war point being the deciding factor. Here is your chance to fight in Melees, to test your metal against those other Youth fighters from across the Kingdom., and cover yourself in Glory!

Additionally both the Baron and Baronesses of Sacred Stone and Black Diamond need your help in vanquishing the dreaded Dragon Mytzlpoofmightschleem. A dragon so fierce and cunning that forces dispatched from both Sacred Stone and Black Diamond have failed to stop him from ravaging the countryside of both Baronies. It is said that Mytzlpoofmightschleem possesses an amulet of Indestructibility, and that none over the age of 17 can strike a killing blow against him, so the Barons call upon you to face Mytzlpoofmightschleem, and stop his reign of terror.

Time Table: (Youth Combat will occur Sunday Morning)

Youth Dragon Tourney (9:00AM combined Div 2 & 3)

Youth Field Battle (9:45AM combined Div 2 & 3)

Youth Broken Field Resurrection Battle (10:00AM-10:30 combined Div2 & 3)

Youth Tourney (Div 1 11:00)

The Dragon will be made up of 4 adult fighters : a head - Great sword, 2 legs- single sword, and a tail- polearm. The fighters will be tied together. All the fighters for each barony will melee the dragon. The winner will be the team that defeats the dragon fastest or lasts the longest.

The field battle will be 2 out of 3 unless the sides are extremely out of balance, in which case there will be only 1 battle, then we will divide the fighters up into equal teams to fight a couple of pick up melees.

The Broken Field battle will be 30 minutes long and involve 3 flags, and of course resurrection points. At the end of 30 minutes the side with the most flags wins.

The Div 1 Tourney will be either a bear pit or a round robin depending on the number of kids.

As in previous years each battle/tournament will be worth a point to the winner. At the end of the day, the side with the most points will be declared the victor and receive the Youth combat war point and the WOWIII Youth Combat Banner to present to the Barony they are supporting. Obviously it is possible for the youth combat to end in a draw..this year.
